Along with our cooks Autaman, Jai Bahadur & Sangay; and our guides Suksing & Kaji, Bagbir also comes from the Ghunsa village. It was the second quake of 12th May that made Bagbir’s home uninhabitable.
With the relief fund, we have provided Bagbir with 12x pieces of tin sheets which are 6ft x 2.5ft each. Bagbir and his family walked 3 hours to the collecting point and walked 4 hours back with the tin sheets to their home.
They have now built a temporary shelter with the tin sheets, so that if there is a tremor then they have a place to shelter during the monsoon season.
We have also provided Bagbir with extra shelter materials for his crops which have already been harvested, so they now have enough food to last them during the Monsoon season.
We will assessing the situation after the monsoon and we are in touch with Bagbir on a weekly basis.
