Dawa Tamang had worked as a trek guide for 7 years until he was injured in a landslide.

The Damage

Poor Dawa has had the most tragic year. Many of you will recall that Dawa’s wife and daughter were killed when a landslide hit his village. Dawa was also badly injured and still cannot use his right arm properly.

Many of you very kindly sent funds to help him and using those funds, he bought a new house. However, all that was lost on 25 April when the first earthquake struck.

As of now it seems the Jiri village and the surrounding area was very hard hit.
